Wavy ("we", "us", "the
App") has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse, exploitation, or any content that endangers minors.
This page sets out our standards, prevention measures, reporting mechanisms, and points of contact in
compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and applicable laws
worldwide.
1. Age requirement
Wavy is strictly an 18+ dating application.
Users must confirm they are 18 years of age or older to create an account. Use of the App by anyone
under 18 is prohibited and is grounds for immediate, permanent account termination and, where required,
reporting to the relevant authorities.
2. Prohibited content and conduct (CSAE /
CSAM)
We strictly prohibit, and will act against, any of the following on Wavy:Child
Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) of any kind.Sexualisation of minors in profile photos, messages, bios,
prompts, or any other surface in the App.Grooming, solicitation, or attempts to contact, meet, or
sexually exploit a minor.Impersonation of a minor or use of photos depicting minors.Sharing of links,
files, or third-party identifiers that lead to CSAM.Violations result in immediate permanent ban,
preservation of evidence, and reporting to the appropriate authorities (see Section
5).
3. Prevention measures
Mandatory phone-number verification (OTP) at
signup.Mandatory date-of-birth attestation; accounts under 18 are blocked.Selfie verification badge to
confirm profile authenticity.Automated and human moderation review of profile photos before they appear
in public discovery.Block and report tools available on every profile and chat surface.Bidirectional
blocking removes a user from all matching, waves, and visibility immediately.Periodic audits of reports
and re-review of flagged accounts.
4. In-app reporting
Every Wavy user can
report another user from an active chat with one tap. The report flow includes a dedicated
"Underage" category for child safety concerns, alongside Harassment, Fake Profile,
Inappropriate Content, Spam, and Other. Reports are routed to our moderation team and reviewed on a
24-hour SLA. Users are notified when action is taken on their report.
5. Reporting to
authorities
We comply with applicable child-protection laws in every market we operate
in, including:
United States: Reports of CSAM are filed with the National
Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline as required under 18 U.S.C. §
2258A.
India: Reports are filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual
Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Union: Reports are filed with national hotlines and INHOPE members where

Other jurisdictions: Reports are filed with the relevant national
child protection authority.Confirmed CSAM is preserved as required by law and made available to law
enforcement under valid legal process.
